Ackermann gets four more years at Deutsche

Josef Ackermann, Deutsche Bank's chief executive, who faces a retrial over the Mannesmann bonus scandal, has been handed a four-year extension to his employment contract.

Deutsche Bank said in a statement today that Ackermann would stay on as chief executive until the annual general meeting following his 62nd birthday in 2010. It added that it would raise its dividend 47% to €2.50 a share.
