Ackermann retrial set for October

Josef Ackermann, the Deutsche Bank chief executive accused of making illicit payments to top board members at Mannesmann, will be retried in October, the Düsseldorf state court has said.

Ackermann will be retried along with five other defendants, including Klaus Esser, the former chief executive of German phone company Mannesmann, and four other directors.
