The activist investor Sir Chris Hohn has refused to withdraw his request for a meeting of London Stock Exchange shareholders, despite yesterday's abrupt departure of Xavier Rolet as head of the exchange.
Hohn, who has been campaigning to keep Rolet as chief executive and replace Donald Brydon as chairman, had succeeded in getting the LSE to call an extraordinary general meeting for investors to vote on his proposals.
