Additional credit support for consumers hit by Covid-19 to continue, FCA says

This could include a three-month extension on credit repayments and personal loans

The Financial Conduct Authority has confirmed additional support for customers still struggling to repay credit as a result of the disruption caused by the coronavirus.

This could include a three-month extension on credit card and personal loan repayments freeze introduced in April, the UK’s financial watchdog said in a statement on 1 July. The FCA also said customers that had not yet frozen repayments or arranged interest-free overdraft of up to £500 would now have until 31 October to apply.
