The board of Advanced Technology has appointed John Carrington and Mike Killingley as non-executive directors.

Carrington, who played a role in the development of cellular communications in the UK, has 20 years' experience in telecommunications. He was formerly a chief executive at Cable & Wireless. His other directorships include Alpha Accident Management, Redstone Telecom, and Goal Focus.
