Advent Europe, the European arm of Nasdaq-listed Advent Software, which specialises in developing systems for fund managers, has increased its presence in the UK with several new appointments.

Lord Calum Graham, currently director of Advent Europe in Belgium, has become a full-time member of Advent's UK operation. Lord Graham was previously managing director of Lexit Capital, the pan-European direct access electronic trading broker, and was responsible for establishing its presence in Europe. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in the institutional sales division of Salmon Smith Barney, UBS Warburg and James Capel.
