Private equity firm Advent International has promoted 18 professionals as it prepares for a wave of investment following $14bn (€10.5bn) of fundraising in the past two years.

The annual appointments, which followed 17 promotions this time last year, came as the firm said its funds and 140-strong investment team put it in a strong position for deals this year.
