Aegon Asset Management UK, which has assets under management totalling more than £38bn (€57bn), has appointed a head of equities to improve its investment performance. He will start in early November.

Innes McKeand will report directly to chief investment officer Andrew Fleming. He will manage and support fund managers on regional equity desks, and take over some of Fleming's responsibilities.
