Allied Irish Bank's (AIB's) private equity arm has launched a €25m ($22m) early stage fund focusing on Irish technology investments.

The fund is a joint initiative between the AIB Group and Enterprise Ireland, an Irish national funding body. It follows just one previous venture fund launched by AIB in October 2000.
