David Aird, an institutional marketer at Gartmore Investment Management, has left to go back to retail sales at Investec Asset Management.

Aird, previously sales director for retail funds at Flemings, left after little more than 12 months at Gartmore. He originally joined Gartmore to do bancassurance sales but his arrival coincided with the launch of Gartmore's AlphaGen Capella European long/short hedge fund.
