City healthcare champion Aisling Burnand dies aged 57

Aisling Burnand CBE, the City healthcare champion and former chief executive of the Association of Medical Research Charities has died from bowel cancer, aged 57.

Burnand, who passed away on 19 September, became CEO of the AMRC in 2014, where she lobbied tirelessly on behalf of medical research charities to ensure vital research was at the forefront of policymakers’ agendas.
