Alan Howard, a veteran star bond trader at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), has quit the firm.

Howard, a managing director, was head of proprietary trading for Europe and the US in CSFB's rates division. He is reportedly heading for Tudor, the hedge fund. Tudor was not available for comment.
