Milan-based Albertini Syz, part of Geneva private bank, Syz & Co, has hired David Basola from rival Gaim Advisors, to head business development for Italy.

He had been head of sales and business development for Italy and Switzerland at Gaim, part of Integrated Asset Management, the London fund of hedge funds and brokerage business.
