Ameritrade reshuffles top team

Ameritrade, the online broker, has promoted Asiff Hirji to chief operating officer replacing Pete Ricketts, who stepped down on August 4. Ricketts, the son of Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts, will continue as vice-chairman and a director.

Hirji will continue as chief information officer until a replacement is found while being responsible for operations and business development.
