Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager, has put a freeze on global recruitment amid the coronavirus outbreak — the second big investment group to take this step as lockdowns increase across the world.

A spokeswoman for Amundi, which oversees almost €1.7tn in assets, told Financial News all recruitment is temporarily on hold due to the Covid-19 outbreak and containment measures governments have put in place.
