Unlike many others during the pandemic, Catherine McGuinness, the influential chair of the City of London Corporation’s Policy and Resources Committee, hasn’t picked up any new hobbies.

“I have been slightly busy,” she says over Zoom from her Islington home. “I’ve been enjoying other people’s sourdough bread.”
