Jon Moulton shocked the City a decade ago by quitting as head of Alchemy Partners, the private equity firm he co-founded, with a resignation letter printed in full in a daily newspaper.

“I’ll do it again, but better,” he wrote and set up Better Capital within weeks of the boardroom bust-up over investment strategies.
