Analysts cheer Amundi float

Team at French banking peer Natixis put asset manager's value at €7.6 billion

The initial public offering of French asset manager Amundi, announced on Wednesday evening by its parents Crédit Agricole and Societe Generale, is a well-timed step that is likely to prove positive for all three firms, according to analysts — with one putting Amundi's value at €7.6 billion.

With €945 billion under management, Amundi would become the largest-listed asset manager in Europe in terms of AUM.
