UBS has promoted its former co-head of its European fixed income, currencies and commodities structuring division, who was appointed to that role just under 18 months ago, as global head of the business, Financial News can reveal.

Andrea Sambo was named global head of FICC structuring and promoted to the FICC executive committee last week, according to two sources familiar with the situation.
