Andy Haldane: ‘Now is not the time for the economics of Chicken Licken’

'Planning for the worst is important, but needs to be accompanied by hope for the best'

The Bank of England’s chief economist Andy Haldane called for a positive approach to the UK’s economy in a speech today.

“Now is not the time for the economics of Chicken Licken,” Haldane told the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership economic summit on 30 September.
