The Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS) has published a set of principles for clearing and settlement in response to consolidation moves in the stock markets.

The 10-point plan is designed to ensure that all share traders, whether they are large institutions or individual investors, can benefit equally from the creation of international stock markets such as iX, the London Stock Exchange merger with Deutsche Börse, in the future.
