Green shoots aren’t the same thing as a lush lawn.

After a miserable first quarter in fixed-income trading for US banks, there were tentative signs of a rebound in April. But activity isn't likely to bounce back all that strongly, meaning banks' trading arms aren't going to bolster profits in a big way anytime soon.
