Argentina's new economy minister reverses fall in bonds

Domingo Cavallo, Argentina's new economy minister, halted a slide in the country's bond prices after insisting that the government would not devalue the peso.

Cavallo, who was appointed Argentina's third economy minister in less than a month on Tuesday, moved swiftly to ease fears that the government would have to unpeg the peso from the US dollar, allowing a devaluation.
