Ian Armitage, the former chief executive of private equity firm HgCapital, has teamed up with Christopher Mills, the activist smaller companies investor, to launch a new firm investing in small-cap stocks.
The new venture is being put together under the banner of Harwood Capital Group, the £3 billion boutique founded by Mills after spinning out from JO Hambro Capital Management in 2011.
