Private equity firms are targeting pet-related companies attracted by strong revenue growth and good exit prospects with Eastern Europe proving a popular deal-making destination.

In the latest deal, Central and Eastern European ARX Equity has acquired online pet retailer Telekarma, which it plans to merge with portfolio company pet product retailer Kakadu, which it bought in 2009.
