Ashmore short positions fall as emerging market sentiment improves

Short positions against Ashmore, the emerging-markets focused investment company, are at their lowest in almost three years, signalling a renewed confidence in emerging market stocks.

In September 2015 Ashmore was the fourth most-shorted stock of those listed in London, with at least 9% of its equity on loan. That has fallen to 2.56% as concerns over its exposure to emerging markets and client outflows have eased.
