FTSE 100 rattled as global stock rout continues

UK stocks tanked on Monday, building on losses logged last week as a global equity selloff drove markets to their biggest single-day declines in years, MarketWatch reports.

European and Asian stock markets were also in the red Monday, and US stocks looked set for another losing day. The moves lower came after stronger-than-expected US jobs data last week fueled worries over rapidly rising inflation and the path for interest rates.
