Asset management marketplace stagnated in 2001

The global asset management marketplace remained stagnant last year, Cerulli Associates, the Boston-based research and consultancy group, said in a report.

The firm's 2001 global asset management survey indicates that assets under management have only risen by 0.2%, less than $100bn (€114bn), during the last year. This contrasts sharply with the year 2000, when growth was at 4.1%.
