Asset management ‘way behind’ on AI, experts say

Asset managers are lagging “way behind” industries such as medicine and sports science in their use of technology to transform their businesses, according to IT leaders in the sector.

Investment companies have geared up their tech development in recent years. The Investment Association, the trade body, and Schroders, the London-listed asset manager, have launched fintech incubators and Fidelity International is exploring blockchain.
