Investment Managers Warned to Expect Worst from FCA

Some believe the whole sector could be referred to competition authorities on Wednesday

Investment managers are being warned to expect the worst from Wednesday’s long-awaited investigation into the workings of the U.K.'s asset management sector, with some believing the regulator could refer the whole market to the competition and markets authority.

The Financial Conduct Authority will deliver its final asset management study along with recommendations to overhaul the UK's £7 trillion fund sector on June 28, 18 months after the watchdog first announced its industry probe.
