Association of British Insurers calls for IPO overhaul

The influential shareholder group wants to see prospectuses published earlier in the IPO process

One of the most influential shareholder groups in the UK has called for a radical overhaul of the way new company floats are handled in London after years of tensions between the buyside and the sellside.

The Association of British Insurers, which represents about £1.7 trillion of assets under management, published the findings of a six-month review into efficiency of the UK equity capital markets today.
