Audit watchdog says 44% of company accounts raise ‘substantive questions’

The FRC said it was concerned about the frequency of cashflow errors in company accounts

Audit watchdog the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) said it wrote to 44% of companies with “substantive questions” after a review of company accounts published in the last financial year.

The FRC said it made 14 companies restate their accounts after finding “significant non-compliance”.
