Australian pension fund advisers regard hedge funds as a mainstream investment option for capital preservation and income growth, a view which is supported by their investment choices, according to a survey conducted by consultancy Hedge Funds of Australia (HFA).

Of the 200 advisers surveyed, 69% had invested in funds of hedge funds over the past year and 95% said they will invest in hedge funds again over the coming year.
