Aviva Investors has recruited a trio of US equity investment staff to its team in Chicago, part of a push across the UK fund manager to expand its operations under new equities chief David Cumming.

The £331bn asset manager has hired Robert Plaza as a US equity fund manager, and Nick Nikitas and Adam Schmitz as analysts. All will report to Susan Schmidt, head of US equities.
