Aviva deals fresh blow to Neil Woodford

UK insurer Aviva has ditched Neil Woodford's flagship equity fund, dealing another blow to the renowned investor who last month saw Jupiter Asset Management pull a significant chunk of money.

Woodford's £8.9bn Equity Income fund, which is one of the UK's best-selling, will no longer be available to customers of Aviva's unit-linked insurance platform — used by pensions investors — from December 4.
