The former interim chief executive of Aviva Investors, who has been chairman since Euan Munro took the permanent role nearly four years ago, is to step down from the £350bn fund manager next month.

Aviva Investors said in a statement today that John Misselbrook will retire from the board in November, with Munro citing his operational experience as "vitally important as we reset Aviva Investors to safely support sustained growth".
