Bain & Company has chosen European private equity head Christophe De Vusser as its new global chief executive, reflecting the growing importance of both European markets and buyout shops to the management consulting giant.

Former Brussels office lead De Vusser becomes the first European to take on the role at the Boston-headquartered firm, capping a 23-year stint with the business.
