Banc of America Securities has hired a former Time Warner executive as managing director of its technology, media and telecoms group.

Kate Brown will cover the bank's portfolio of media companies. She joins from Time Warner, where she was a senior vice president responsible for advising on overall corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
