Banc of America Securities has appointed five experts to its fixed income businesses in London and Tokyo, including three from UBS Warburg.

The appointments, which show a particular focus on the structured products sector, include the arrival of Brian Ratner from UBS Warburg. Ratner joins BoA after seven years at UBS, most recently as a director in the global collateralised debt obligations (CDO) group. He will be a principal in BoA's structured credit products group and lead the banks CDO effort.
