Bank of America has hired an experienced banker for its consumer and retail M&A advisory business, amid a sharp value rise for deals in the sector.

Kenneth Tuchman will join Banc of America Securities in New York as vice chairman of consumer and retail reporting to Paul Donofrio, global head of consumer and retail. Tuchman most recently worked at Dresdner Kleinwort where he was global head of the retail and consumer group.
