Merrill advisers hit $1m in average productivity

BofA's Global Wealth and Investment Management group posted another strong quarter for the three-month period ending June 30

For the first time in Merrill Lynch's history, average annualised productivity per adviser hit $1 million, according to Bank of America second-quarter results.

The level is one frequently lusted after by the biggest retail brokerages. Earlier this year UBS Wealth Management Americas reported that the annualised average revenue generated per adviser rose to $1 million in the fourth quarter.
