Bank of America raids HSBC for metals

Bank of America has poached a team from rival HSBC as it seeks to launch a metals trading business to expand its existing commodities platform.

Peter Merritt has joined the company in New York as a managing director and global head of metals along with a team of at least four others who most recently worked at HSBC.
