Dame Clara Furse joins Bank of England committee

Dame Clara Furse, the former chief executive of the London Stock Exchange, has been appointed as an external member of the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee, a newly created body to help reduce systemic risks in the UK financial system. She will remain an outside director on the board of directors of Nomura Holdings, but will step down as a non-executive director of UK-based entities Nomura Europe Holdings and Nomura International.
