The Bank of England joined a growing chorus of regulators and governments calling for firms to stop crypto transactions that aim to evade Russian sanctions.

"All UK financial services firms, including the cryptoasset sector, are expected to play their part in ensuring that sanctions are complied with," the Bank of England said in a statement on 11 March.
