Bank of New York expands into Poland

The Bank of New York is establishing an investment fund company in Warsaw as the bank tries capitalise on the growth of Polish pension assets.

The investment company, currently pending official approval from the Polish regulator, will be named BNY National Trust and plans to offer a number of investment funds in different sectors including private equity, hedge funds and real estate, according to a statement released by the group today.
