Bank of New York, the world's largest custodian bank, has launched PrivateAnalyst, a new product to track alternative investments such as private equity and real estate partnerships.

Private Analyst is an alternative asset monitoring service, run by the bank's performance measurement and analytics group, which collates and reports data. It offers clients detailed reporting of the individual investments, groups of investments, or whole portfolios.
