The UK government's plan to remove the cap on City bonuses is going ahead, new Chancellor Jeremy Hunt confirmed.

"I think the mechanism with the cap wasn't working; we will get more money out of the pockets of rich bankers by what we are going to do now," Hunt told Parliament on 17 October.
