Banks appeal against CSFB's Polish mandate

The appointment of Credit Suisse First Boston as adviser to the Polish Treasury on its sale of Telekomunikacja Polska (TPSA) has drawn the ire of banks who lost in the tender process, which they are now claiming was unfair.

Deutsche Bank, HSBC Holdings and Morgan Stanley asked the Polish Treasury on Friday to reconsider their pitches. The appeal is thought have been made on the grounds that their bids were rejected due to minor technicalities.
