The FCA said in July that it would phase out the scandal-ridden benchmark and has identified Sonia as a possible alternative

Banks commit to Libor until 2021

The UK's markets watchdog has confirmed that banks will carry on making submissions for Libor until its planned phase-out in 2021.

In a statement this morning, the Financial Conduct Authority said that all 20 current panel banks will "remain as submitters" for the next four years.
