Banca Intesa, Goldman Sachs, Mediobanca and Morgan Stanley have reportedly been appointed to lead the €3bn ($3.57bn) initial public offering of Pirelli's tyre manufacturing business.

Italian daily Mercati Finanziari reports that the four banks have been hired to lead the flotation, which is expected to raise about €400m for Pirelli.
